Frequently asked questions
What is the Price to Compare in Ohio?
It is the price per kWh your utility charges for generation supply if you don't choose a supplier (the "standard service offer"). To save money, a supplier's fixed price must be below it. Delivery charges stay the same either way.
Is it worth switching electric suppliers in Ohio?
Only if the offer beats your Price to Compare for the whole term, with no monthly fee and no variable rate after an intro period. Check the term, the early termination fee and what happens at renewal, since many contracts roll to a variable rate. Your community may also have a government aggregation program, which can be a good default.
Where does this data come from?
