No accounts, no tracking cookies. You can use every tool without signing up.

Information stored on your device

The ZIP code, utility and rate settings you enter are saved in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to re-enter them. They aren't sent to us. Clear your browser's site data to remove them.

Approximate location

To preselect your utility, the calculator asks our server for the approximate ZIP code of your internet connection, which our host Cloudflare derives from your IP address. We don't store it, and you can always override it.

Analytics

We use Numative to count page views and see which pages are useful. Numative sets no cookies and doesn't store IP addresses or personal identifiers, so visitors can't be followed across sites or days.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data, such as IP address, browser and pages requested, to deliver and secure the site.

Links to other sites

Links to Amazon, utilities, providers and government sites are governed by those sites' policies. Amazon may set cookies when you follow an affiliate link.
